Happy Saturday Ladies!
What are you up to then this weekend? I’m staying home. I need to do some serious cleaning. Does this sound repetitive to you? 😉
But before that, remember when I told you how I felt about BB Creams and why they don’t work for me in general? I meant every word I said. I still do. Many Korean brand BB Creams are in the main oily, too orange, too gray, too dark, too light for me. I feel a bit like Goldilocks 😛
And as Murphy’s Law will have it, I have now got 3 new BB Creams to consider! Coincidence or what?
It is as if the universe heard me, caused these other companies to make something called a “BB Cream” and then foist it on me in the hope I’d change my mind LOL! Ok I’m not that influential but it most certainly looks that way 😉
So, up for consideration are:-
- Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream
- Vichy Aera Mineral BB Skin Breathing Blemish Balm Cream
- Sunplay Skin Aqua BB Cream
They are all already available on the shelves (look in Guardian and/or Watson’s) and at relatively affordable prices. I’ve tried 2 already where I feel a bit hmm… about one and I’m quite liking the other.
So you know what they say about eating your words? I think I might have to ask for ketchup soon.
I’ll bring you the reviews soon as I can 😀 In the meantime, enjoy the weekend!

Waiting for your reviews..my bb cream is running out of stock can’t squeeze it out of the tube already, even though it’s a very, very good bb cream but i think i want to try other brands for a change. 😀
ParisB says
Which BB cream are you using then? I’m so picky with my BB creams that I’ve stopped looking!
rosejaejoong says
currently missha perfect cover bb cream..i love this bb cream, before i found this one i tried other brands like skin79,shills,lioele and etc can’t remember the names..i throw all of my bb creams after i discover missha.. 😀
ParisB says
Nice to know it works for you 🙂
Julia says
Me too! It’s the only one I ever had and I never felt like trying another other. Which might also be because they have a really light shade.

I share the same opinion as you about Korean bb creams. However, the recent offerings are definately making me take a second look and eat my words (I’m been bad mouthing bb creams to my close friends for the past years). My latest try outs is the Dr Wu (from Taiwan) series which I love. Perfect match for my nc20 skin, non greasy with decent oil control (I’ve combination skin) as well as most importantly, it does not break me out (I have sensitive skin). Do take a look if Malaysia has it. It’s available in Singapore’s Watsons.
ParisB says
Dr Wu you say? I’ll have to keep a look out in our Watson’s stores then. If it isn’t here it might soon 🙂 Thanks for the heads up! Else I’d just get it online somehow 😉
carol says
Oh Dr.Wu’s stuff are good. But too bad MY doesn’t have it. Watson in SG sells their products
ParisB says
Thanks for the info 🙂 I’ll try get a sample from there then 😀
eliza says
if i remember correctly, sasa’s do carry dr.wu bb cream
tad bit on the pink side
ParisB says
Golly pink? Guess I’d have to check it out in person then 😀 Thanks for letting me know about Sasa. I try not to step in but one day I might steel myself to brave the SAs 😛
carol says
i’m using that sunplay skin aqua bb and liking it very much 🙂 it’s so hard to find bb cream that suits. too much $ and time spent and not forgetting risking my face for eruptions :/ in the process on looking for the One.
ParisB says
Yay! Glad to know someone’s already tried it 😀 I haven’t seen it yet personally 😀 I agree too about how hard it is to find a BB cream that works for you. I’ve had so many issues I just gave up totally. And then these appeared LOL!
eliza says
oh dear, i am torn between a new foundation (ettusais) or a new bb cream =(
vichy didn’t have a tester, nor did sunplay. broke out with maybelline
decisions, decisions, decisions
guess will have to wait for your reviews \(^o^)/
ParisB says
Hmm… I still don’t think that BB creams are a substitute for foundation 🙂 But a lot lies in what you prefer to use. I don’t have the Sunplay one so guess you’d have to just make do with the other 2 that I do have 😀
chin says
There is abother BB cream called Tsuya Tsuya which comes in 2 shades – light or dark and it seems like good
ParisB says
Guess there are tons in the market! Only focused on the bigger brands though, havent’ come across this one 🙂
Shin says
This brand is available at Watson! But I haven’t dare to try it too. BB Cream are always too fair or too pink on me.
yuki says
cant wait for the reviews 🙂 I’ve been using The Skin Food’s alie bb cream for 2 years now! Still loving it. Hehe. I don’t trust sunplay 🙁 I used their face sunscreen and it gave me breakouts 🙁 Sad for me as I like the texture.
ParisB says
psst! I broke out with the Sunplay Skin Aqua sunscreen too!
rosejaejoong says
Wow you’ve been using that bb cream for 2 years.I feel like trying it too..how much is it?Is it pricey?
Yvonne says
