Lunasol Cheek Brush or Face Brush, but its close. Its one of those brushes that you don’t want to stop brushing against your skin, because it just Feels. So. Good!

Size wise, its a short squat brush, with an acrylic handle. I believe that Trish McEvoy brushes come in 2 lengths – the standard long handle and the short handled one. Mine is the short handled one that feels very solid and sturdy, with good heft.

What I do is dip the brush in the tub of Meteorites pearls, swirl it around a few times, then apply to my skin. Because the brush is dense, I can use it to target areas to highlight, if that’s the look I’m going for, or I could just as easily swirl it over my face. Feels absolutely delicious on skin!

The slightly dense bristles seem to allow it to pick up and hold the powder better and I can lightly buff in the powder if I like.

As you can see, this little thing is really short but you know what they say, size isn’t everything, its what you do with it that matters 😉 Pricey as it is, I’m glad I picked up this brush – it didn’t quite work out for applying bronzer for me, but its done an excellent job for my Meteorites powders and since I use them everyday, its well worth it 🙂

In a nutshell

Trish McEvoy makes very lovely soft natural hair brushes and the Bronzer Brush 37 is highly raved for applying bronzer perfectly on skin. The bristles are very lovely and soft and I believe is made of squirrel hair. It isn’t as soft as the other squirrel hair brushes I own from Lunasol but its much better than many other brands I’ve come across out there. This is the short handled brush and is very well made. I have experience no shedding even though I wash this brush almost weekly, since I use it daily. I don’t use it for bronzer, but to apply my Guerlain Meteorites powders. It does the job perfectly.

Pros: Soft yet firm natural hair bristles, Solid and well made brush, Picks up powder and disperses it on skin very beautifully, Places colour or powder quite precisely and diffuses it well

Cons: Pricey, Unavailable in Malaysia

Who will like this: Anyone who appreciates a good brush and has deep pockets, Anyone looking for what is supposed to be the best bronzer brush in the market, Anyone who has been asking what I use to apply my Guerlain Meteorites powders 😛

Trish McEvoy makeup and brushes aren’t available in Malaysia at time of writing (as far as I know). The closest port of call is probably Hong Kong where I believe it is sold. I purchased mine online through KissandmakeupNY.com with whom I have had a reasonable shopping experience a number of times. However, someone I know has had a very poor shopping experience with them very recently so I hesitate to completely endorse their service. If you choose to buy from them, its at your own risk.

Have you ever tried Trish McEvoy brushes or makeup? Do you own the Bronzer 37 brush and do you like it? What brush do you use with your Meteorites pearls?

I learnt of Trish McEvoy many years ago when I was active on makeup forums and I knew they were expensive. When I could afford the brushes, I picked up 2 – this Bronzer 37 brush and the Blush 2B Brush. Quite happy with both 🙂 If you look on Ebay or forums or online stores, you will likely come across Trish McEvoy brushes that retail for quite cheap. Be warned, because fakes abound and have been for years. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
