Back with another beauty snack, and this time, it’s to tell you that Omorovicza skincare is now available here in Malaysia stores. Omorovicza (pronounced Omo-ro-veet-sa) is a luxury skincare brand from Budapest, Hungary, and their story lies around the use and incorporation of thermal water into their products.

Omorovicza utilizes the healing properties of Hungary’s thermal waters in all their products. These thermal water baths had long been popular for people to soak in, to help heal skin problems, and also to soothe aching muscles. The curative properties of thermal waters can never be under estimated!

Their most popular, and bestselling item, is the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist. This is so named, as it is based on a perfume water first formulated for Queen Elisabeth of Hungary in the 14th century. This then explains why it is fragranced.

I have used the Queen of Hungary mist, and I have travel sizes of it lying around from various purchases over time, but I will say here that I’m not particularly enamoured by it. The reason is primarily due to the scent – I prefer my skincare products not to be so perfumed, especially a facial mist. Otherwise, it serves a perfectly decent function to hydrate skin.

I like the luxurious glass bottle (even if it makes it far less portable) and the spray mechanism is impressively fine. You aren’t hit with a spray of water in your face, and quite literally enjoy a fine mist of water, similar to that from an aerosol can without the aerosol. That said, it is one for the fat of wallet, as with most products in Omorovicza. It is after all, a luxury skincare brand 🙂
